This is our “Traditional Free Standing Frame Mounted” Wing Chun Wooden Dummy and it can be placed virtually anywhere without having to mount it to the floor or the wall. If you’ve ever had the ability to train on a frame mounted dummy then you already know how much spring and feedback this types of wooden dummy  will provide you with. The actual dummy body slides across the lateral support slats with ease when struck from the side which allows the practitioner the ability to fully develop both sides of their body in an equal fashion. This is an absolute must for Wing Chun practitioners.

All of our Wing Chun Wooden dummies /  Mook Jongs are constructed using traditional measurements. The body as well as the arms have offset shafts and tendons. Traditional Wing Chun Dummies usually have staggered arms where the left arm is usually higher than the right arm. With our wooden dummies you can choose to have the arms staggered or level simply by rotating one of the arms by 180 degrees. See the photo for an example. This gives you more flexibility and training options over the competition.

Our frame is now made out of 100% Oak Hardwood. We did this to ensure that it would hold up to all of the abuse that it will need to take. Our frames are designed with the same materials and craftsmanship that our wooden dummies are which means that if properly cared for can literally last a lifetime. Don’t be fooled, most of the competitors are using either Douglas Fur, Pine, or some other inexpensive wood to construct their frame out of just to save a few bucks. Frames by their very nature are designed to take a tremendous amount of abuse! This is why we chose to use 100% Oak Hardwood on our ENTIRE frame. Total assembled height of the frame is 6′ and the wooden dummy body is fully adjustable. The frame only requires a 3′ by 6′ area of space on the floor and the actual wooden dummy body is 60″ long with a 9″ diameter.
