These Exotic Hardwood Wing Chun Dummies are truly one of a kind and are often called “Functional Works of Art”. They are built with the exact same measurements and options as our other wooden dummies. Instead of having them wrapped in Ash you can opt for something a little more exclusive and unique. And because these dummies are truly custom made we will allow you to make modifications to the size to ensure that the dummy fits your individual size perfectly. We offer these in three different types of wood.
The first is American Black Walnut. Black Walnut is known for its unique grain pattern and beautiful coloration. Brilliant hues of purple, cocoa, cream, and, dark brown can be seen sweeping throughout the entire dummy. Due to this woods unique character it truly makes a unique and “One of a Kind” dummy.
African Sapele (Mahogany) This hardwood is from Africa and has a ribboning effect that runs the length of the wood. It’s unique in the fact that it has a natural luster and a beautiful finish. The natural color of the wood is a brown salmon color and once stained can be darkened to your preference.These dummies are very rare and unique.
Cherry is the wood of choice for most high end furniture manufacturers. Many antiques and heirloom pieces are constructed out of this prized timber. Cherry will darken quite a bit over time so we reccomend staying away from really dark stains when it comes to this type of wood.
All of the bases and frames on our Exotic Hardwood Dummies are made out of the same wood that your dummy will be made out of to ensure that the finished product truly does become a “Functional Work of Art”
